Biography

Justin Cross qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 2007 and operated as a Chartered Secretary in Public Practice from 2012 to 2022, continuing since then in a more wide-ranging consultancy capacity.

Before starting out in public practice, Justin gained valuable and considerable experience working mainly in the not-for-profit sector responsible for:

1. business administration and governance services, including finance, HR and administration, contracts and property leases, and development;
2. numerous programmes requiring detailed project management, liaising with many and varied stakeholders and professional advisers;
3. providing a high-quality secretariat service to all key governance bodies, numerous committees, executive teams, working groups and contract negotiating teams, and preparing annual reports, annual meetings and elections;
4. handling and advising on many complex and diverse issues, co-ordinating the expert input of a wide-range of advisers and stakeholders, drafting strategy and policy papers

This varied and fulfilling career, founded on a rigorous education at the London School of Economics and King’s College London, has enabled Justin to offer a highly knowledgable, skilled and personalised company-secretary and non-executive service that is as unique as his clients.
